FIRST OUTDOOR MARKET, EEK!

Here’s me practicing with my tent and figuring out how in the hell I’m going to display my art. I’m smiling because Kyle’s proof of concept was a success! Thanks, babe!

How it’s going: It’s happening this Saturday, September 7th (2024 if you’re reading this in the future). Today is Labor Day. September 2, 2024. I’m super nervous and SUPER focused on getting all my shit together this week. I’ve never done one before but I think I have all the supplies (probably?).

The hardest thing right now for me is setting up Square and my inventory. So many settings. Taxes, what? Lots of inventory to add. You just go into this thinking, oh yeah I want to sell my art, this will be fun! But there’s so much more to it. I have mad respect for these artists who do this on the regular. They make it look effortless. I hope to be at that level one day.
